Start with the accessible path
Head through the Sewers to Undercity. Before acquiring Arcane Whip, climb upward rather than attempting the blocked side branches. The room links below highlight reference areas; they do not draw a continuous path.
Ruined Market: find the concealed lever
Reach the upper platforms and speak to the spirit. Its clue points to barrels below. Drop down, break the concealed wall near the rat, then use the lever to open the way. Leave the unreachable defense book for a later visit.
Restore before entering the reservoir
At Central Sewer Drain, use the right-hand route to the Mirror of Life. Continue into Sewer Reservoir, descend through the thin floor and climb the opposite side. Open the lever shortcut back toward the mirror before continuing.
Path of the Rat and the first boss
Follow Path of the Rat to Gate to the Catacombs. The second spirit hints that the boss’s cross can be broken by an attack. After the encounter, absorb the Arcana before using its spell and movement ability.
