Prison Tower: climb to Joan and open the lift shortcut

Operate the tower bridges, reach the upper mirror, and use the hanging ring to open the boss shortcut.

Bridges, Guard Storehouse and Torture Level

Enter Prison Tower from Burned District. Use the lower lever, climb via Sewer Entrance and lower the drawbridge. Take the tower branch rather than the Cemetery branch. Open both bridges in Guard Level, take the left bridge and climb through Guard Storehouse to Torture Level and its mirror.

The upper ring opens the lift

Above the mirror, grapple to the purple anchor. Swing right then left from the gold ring to reach the next anchor. Continue right; repeatedly pull the clicking ring to open the lift shortcut.

Optional chests: Crypt Key and Twilight Gem

Two separate map destinations are linked below. Crypt Key is a Relic: equipping it restores all HP and MP when you open a chest or find a new weapon. It is not one of the three Catacombs gate keys.

Twilight Gem temporarily raises attack after casting. Its chest is in Central Sewer Drain; Crypt Key is in Seer’s Hovel. These optional items are separate from Joan’s encounter rewards. Check each map pin and its effect before deciding to detour.

Prepare for the rooftop encounter

Use the Mirror of Life before the rooftop encounter to restore HP and MP and refill potions. The linked Joan guide covers the initial Prison Tower fight. After the encounter, interact with the reward orb for Infernal Pyre and The Warrior’s Key; an associated exploration tutorial is a separate destination.
